Search options

The tool allows the information to be consulted according to the following options:

Analysis level:

  • Level 1: Components (groups of diseases)
  • Level 2: Classes (combinations of diseases within groups)

Geographical region:

  • Portugal
  • Each of the seven NUTS II:
    1. North
    2. Center
    3. Lisbon
    4. Alentejo
    5. Algarve
    6. Azores
    7. Madeira

Morbidity indicator (considered in the model as an outcome):

  1. Negative self-perceived general health
  2. Absence from work (in employed individuals)
  3. Physical functional limitations
  4. Personal care activities limitations (>65 years)
  5. Household activities limitations (>65 years)
  6. Intensity of bodily pain
  7. Impact of the pain on daily life
  8. Hospitalisation as inpatient
  9. Hospitalisation as day patient
  10. Consultation of a general practitioner
  11. Consultation of other specialist
  12. Use of medicines prescribed
  13. Use of medicines not prescribed
  14. Out-of-pocket health expenditure

Graphic presentation of results adjusted for:

  • Confounders and components

Graphic representation

The results are presented graphically in a representation similar to a slopegraph / arrow diagram, comparing the hierarchy of the components or classes for the calculated "individual" association measure (prevalence ratio) and the "populational" impact measure (population attributable fraction).
